The FULL Experience
Reach the highest point
Tour 3000 is the full experience of Funivia dell’Etna, a complete tour that comfortably and safely takes you up to 3,000m.
The tour begins with the cable car, which takes you from the altitude of 1,923m to the upper station at 2,500m, flying over extinct craters and enjoying breathtaking views over more than 100 km of coastline.
From here, you continue aboard special 4X4 buses or, in winter, aboard snowcats to reach the maximum altitude allowed by the authorities, traveling along the only existing road, exclusively owned by Funivia dell’Etna and accessible only to our vehicles.
From this last stop, the tour continues in the company of our Alpine and Volcanological Guides, who will lead you among craters and recent lava flows in the summit area, telling you curiosities and wonders of Europe’s highest active volcano.

If you purchase your ticket online on this site, Fast Track is included and allows you to skip the line at the departure station’s ticket office, going directly to boarding.

The departure is from the “Funivia dell’Etna” station, at Piazzale Rifugio Sapienza (Nicolosi – Etna South).
When can I go, and what are the opening hours of Funivia dell’Etna?
The service is active every day from 8:30 AM to 3:15 PM (last cable car descent at 5:15 PM), subject to weather conditions or technical requirements.
